Thank you to everyone who attended our May workday at the Oconee NF.
It was a busy weekend and many people had previous engagements but 7 of us worked the trails out of the horse camp and removed trees that had been downed by recent bad weather. Click here for some photos!

Do you enjoy riding and camping with your horses and
mules?
Do you want your children and grandchildren to be able to enjoy the same?
Would you like to be a part of making that possible?
If you answered “YES”, then you need to be
a part of the organization that will work as the trail riding advocate
in Georgia;
Back Country Horsemen
of Middle and South Georgia
On March 1, 2004, Georgia Trail Riders lost access
to 865,044 acres of land. No state wide, equine group based in Georgia
raised a legal voice against this loss. Back Country Horsemen of East
Tennessee in conjunction with Back Country Horsemen of America did raise
a voice and filed an appeal. We need to be that voice in Georgia.
Membership is only $30 per year for individuals or $40 for a family and
that gives you membership in the Back Country Horsemen of America as well!
That alone is a $30 value!
You will receive the quarterly newsletter of Back Country Horsemen of
America as well as the quarterly newsletter of Back Country Horsemen of
Middle and South Georgia along with critical updates as needed. You will
receive timely information about legislation that will impact your ability
to ride in Georgia and surrounding states as well as suggestions on how
you can help. You will have the opportunity to take part in trails maintenance
in the National Forest, State Parks and other Public Lands in your area
and we will even try to have a little fun every now and then!
Come on, be a part of the solution!
